Curriculum

Marc Cavaliero, a Swiss-trained Attorney-At-Law,studied at the University of Geneva and holds a Master in International Sports Law from the Institute of Law and Economics (ISDE) in Madrid, Spain. Before founding Cavaliero & Associates, a boutique law firm specialized in sport, Marc was a founding partner at Kleiner & Cavaliero and before that worked within the legal affairs division of FIFA for almost 10 years. He represents major sports federations, clubs, athletes, agencies and various other sports stakeholders before the decision-making bodies of international and national sports federations, as well as before the Court of Arbitration for Sport and the Swiss Supreme Court. His expertise includes all types of compliance, disciplinary and ethical proceedings, contractual and financial, licensing and match-fixing matters. He also regularly advises on the drafting of sports regulations and contracts, governance issues and the implementation of decision-making, compliance and disciplinary processes within sports federations. He is the Chairperson of the UCI Ethics Committee, Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer of World Aquatics as well as the Chairperson of the FIH Elections Oversight Panel.
