Curriculum
Inge Hochreutener received her law degree from Berne University Law School and her Dr. iur. at the Law School of the University of Fribourg. From 1986 to 2001, she was managing director of a major law publisher in Basel; from 2001 to 2007, she was on the board of directors of a major publisher in Zurich. In 2005, she became counsel to Python & Peter, a Swiss law firm with over 70 lawyers in the French and German part of the country as well as in Brussels and Tokyo. She is a member of the advisory board of the major Swiss legal database. Besides, since 2006 up to today she acts as managing director of the Institute of Law and Economy, IDé, a key institution for education and continuous education in law at university level. She practices intellectual property law, represents authors and artists as well as entrepreneurs and companies especially with regard to trademark and design law, copyright and counterfeit issues. Furthermore, she's engaged in advising on strategy with respect to rights management, rights licensing and contract law. In addition, she publishes on intellectual property, copyright law and copyright contract law. In 2013 she founded ip-legal, a platform concept for intellectual property knowledge transfer. She is co-founder of Targeting Intellectual Property, a forum engaged in the specific issues on exploitation rights and protection.
